Flow Test Control Orifices

The fully automatic EDM flow test bench is used for flow measurement of control orifices. The complete module consists of a loader module with an EDM machine on the left side and a flow test bench. The machine is being loaded with pallets by means of a drawer system (4 drawers). For the part control the DMC of each part is read in the loader module and the orientation is determined to be able to put the part correctly on the slide of the EDM system. Processed parts are removed from the slide and taken to the next work step.

The machine carries out the following work steps:

-> blow-off VE-water
-> measuring station inlet hole and
-> measuring station outlet hole.

The processed control orifices are loaded back on the pallet. Reject parts are automatically sorted out. A moveable control panel with a comfortable user interface is installed. Running processes and results are displayed. The parameters can be easily adjusted in case of changing requirements. All flow test results are sent to the EDM machine for production quality optimization.

Flow test bench non-return valve

The flow test bench is constructed for determination of the leakage, the closing pressure and the flow of the non-return valve. The leak measurement and the measurement of the closing pressure are carried out in one station with nitrogen. During the leak measurement a steadier nitrogen pressure is put on the workpiece. The leakage value is calculated according  to the resulting pressure increase after the part. At the closing pressure measurement the spring of the non-return valve gets imprinted through the nitrogen pressure. After cutting off the supply the nitrogen pressure drops down until the pressure gets too low to imprint the spring any longer and the non-return valve closes.
During the flow measurement the oil pressure is adjusted and the flow is determined for a stable pressure. The work piece is set manually into the nest of the loading station.
The results and current values are displayed on the software surface and ensure an easy overview of the single processes.

Test Bench

Manual analysis test bench for testing Diesel Pump Valves. The scope of this bench is to provide low and high pressure fluid at the defined interface for the components which have to be tested. The test sequence is written by the costumer with LabVIEW.

Cleaning station

Semiautomatic machine to clean nozzles or orifice parts. Automatic process control module included. A toggle lever press is used to seal the workpiece.

Flow Test Bench for Diesel Injector Components

Massflow test of nozzles, valve plates and control parts with test fuel Divinol CAF.
The results are saved on the local PC. Simple and fast change over for different test part types.

VCV Test Bench

This test bench has been designed for production test of socalled VCVs (Volumetric Control Valves). The VCV is a 3-way proportional valve and part of high pressure gasoline pumps.

In general, the following test functions are available:
• Flow and pressure measurement depending on the electrical VCV drive settings.
• Determination of flow and pressure hysteresis of the component.

The bench is realized as a semi automatic machine with manual on- and offload and automatic test run. Two identical holding fixtures placed in separate proof chambers are available. This makes it possible for loading, purging and blow out operations in parallel while the bench measures the characteristics of a part.
During the offload procedure the part passes an optical camera system to read the 2D code information of the part. In  addition, for separating scrap from the passed parts, a specially designed tray is available.

Actuator Test Bench

This stand is designed to measure the dynamic and static flow of actuators. The necessary test cycle is decided by the Part-ID of the actuator. This ID is written on a barcode that will be read by a camera. Depending on this ID the bench carries out the setup automatically. In this way, it is possible to run completely mixed parts without any changeover. The actuators are loaded in a “bread-box”. With this system it is possible to exchange the actuator while the bench is measuring another actuator. Due to this, the time for changing the actuator has no influence on the cycle-time of the bench.
