With virtual commissioning of the control instead of later tests on the real machine, simulatable processes are already tested in an early project phase.

The degree of maturity of the software at the time of “Power On” is much more advanced, since all important positions and processes are tested in advance. The associated shortening of the actual commissioning has a positive effect on the overall lead time of a project. Errors in the design can also be revealed during simulation and eliminated before assembly. Critical or unpredictable processes can also be simulated on the system. Regarding on-site retrofits, equipment downtime can be reduced.
