Climate neutrality in mechanical engineering is important to us. As a certified company in energy and environmental management, we are committed to continuously improving our environmental footprint. Since climate neutrality is undoubtedly the ultimate challenge in the 21st century, we have collaborated with the TUM Campus Straubing and started the project “The Path to Climate Neutrality for a Medium-Sized Company.”

Four students worked on this project. They examined the political framework, analyzed our current situation, and identified opportunities for improvement. The outcome: Sonplas generates approximately 558 tons of CO2 annually, which is roughly equivalent to what 52 individuals produce in a year. We certainly want to act on these results and further improve ourselves.

A big thank you goes to Professor Dr. Sebastian Goerg as well as to Amelie, Anna-Lena, Katharina, and Sabrina for their great work.
